Responsibilities

What will you be doing?

  • Begin your day at the depot, organizing and preparing deliveries
  • Load and operate a Canada Post postal vehicle

Continuation of Responsibilities

  • Spend most of your day outdoors, delivering mail and packages either on foot or in a vehicle along your assigned route
  • Return to the depot to unload incoming mail and packages for subsequent deliveries

Requirements

What do you need?

  • Valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s license with a safe driving record for at least three years (driver’s abstract required)
  • Physical capability to lift mail items up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items weighing up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Availability for on-call shifts
  • Proficiency in English and/or French (reading, writing, speaking)

Additional Qualifications

  • Customer service experience
  • Previous delivery or driving experience
